The SDCS Board met on March 26th 2008 in room 309 of the SDCOE. In attendance: Pres. Lan Barnes, Arlene Way, Stan Follis, Dick Hiatt, Lance Dohe, Carl Lowenstein, Jeff Ball, John Robinson and Dave Tooley. Called to order at 7:10pm by the President Dick Hiatt read the minutes from the January 2008 meeting....approved unanimously Stan Follis gave the Treasurer's report: $14794.00 as of March 19th 2008. ONLY SDTAUG has paid dues for 2008....K-PLUG, SDPCUG, South Bay, and SDFreeNet have not paid. Election of SDCS officers: The election will be held at the K-PLUG Meeting on MAY 8TH 2008 at 7pm in Room 401 of SDCOE. In addition to the previously offered candidates, JOSH PENIX has offered his candidacy for President Liability insurance has been paid for calendar year 2008. President: Status with Franchise Tax Board: all problems resolved. Must file SI 100 at Secretary of State's web site after elections in May 2008. Carl Lownstein: will be able to generate MEMBERSHIP CARDS. President: Josh Penix will research feasibility of COLO use for SDCS, moved and passed. MAY ELECTION MEETING: President will advise SIG's to put forth candidates. The previous proposal to change the SIG Dues was discussed at length. VP Dave Tooley removed the $25 per SIG recommendation for the time being.
